Our sonic brand is an animated version of our masterbrand logo with an audio element.
The audio and animation has been developed to uplift the digital experience and create a brand association. It captures the essence of the University and acts as a device to aid in recall of the University brand.
Developed by University alumni, the sonic brand should be used as an ender on University video and audio content .
About the audio
Traditional string and piano combines with a hint of electronica representing both the University’s rich heritage and contemporary present.

About the animation
The animation focuses on the figure of Nike within the University logo who represents wisdom and knowledge. Nike’s head is raised, looking upwards to where she aspires to go and her wings rise with confidence. She then lowers the laurel wreath, hinting at the bestowing of a degree. All elements of the logo merge around Nike with a simplicity that is authentic to our brand. The timing of the stars and flare of the line complement the audio as our name, the University of Melbourne, highlights the final note.
